Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026. This page explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which browsers use to remember preferences or temporary state.

2. How we use them

Chipotle Calorie Calculator is built as a lightweight static site. Today we primarily use:

Name / type Purpose Duration
ccc-theme (localStorage) Remembers light or dark mode preference Until you clear site data
Essential / hosting cookies May be set by our hosting or CDN provider for security and delivery Varies by provider

We do not currently set advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics (for example, privacy-friendly traffic stats), we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required, request consent.

3. Categories

  • Strictly necessary — required for basic functions and security
  • Preferences — theme and similar UI choices stored locally
  • Analytics — not used at this time
  • Marketing — not used at this time

4. Managing cookies and storage

You can control cookies and site data through your browser:

  • Block or delete cookies in browser settings
  • Clear “site data” or local storage for this domain to reset theme preference
  • Use private / incognito mode (preferences may not persist)

Blocking all storage may affect features such as remembering dark mode. Calculators will still work for a single session.

5. Third parties

We load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may process connection data according to its own policies when your browser requests those assets. You can learn more in Google’s documentation and our Privacy Policy.

6. Updates

We may revise this Cookie Policy when our practices change. Check the “Last updated” date for the latest version.
